The mission of the Urban Assembly is to advance students' economic and social mobility by improving public education.
Students from historically marginalized communities—particularly Black and Latine students—face systemic barriers to socioeconomic mobility, often described as educational opportunity gaps. Drawing on 30 years of experience implementing programs in public schools, The Urban Assembly has developed flagship initiatives that address high-impact opportunities across three areas: Social-Emotional Learning, Postsecondary Readiness and Success, and Continuous Improvement.
Together, these programs provide schools with a transformational model that equips students, teachers, counselors, and school leaders with the tools and support needed to overcome systemic barriers and expand pathways to long-term success.
